Civil Service examinations are given every two years to candidates possessing an interest in joining public service positions within the city. Currently, we require Civil Service exams for all candidates for officers, radio operators, and clerical positions. POLICE OFFICER ENTRANCE EXAM The Civil Service Police Entrance Exam is given every two years. The Whitehall Civil Service Commission will be conducted a police entrance exam on February 17th, 2007. The Whitehall Civil Service commission conducted a Public Safety Dispatcher exam on October 1st, 2005. The next exam will likely be in September of 2007.
